My greatest apologies

Okay, so here goes.............

My picture of my two precious darling weenie dogs was not meant to offend anyone. I thought it would make you all snicker a little at how funny animals can be at times. It was brought to my attention that children also frequent this site although I was quite aware of this before.........and didn't think that the material on the picture was near as bad as the things we see on public television, for example Janet Jackson's boob, or half naked people making out.....or even hearing cuss words! For Pete's sake I would rather my children learn about the birds and the bees from watching a nature show (as I did) or something similar. It wasn't like I put two dogs on really going at it or anything.....this dog was born slightly mentally handicapped (hydrocephelitis) and does some really strange things sometimes. From now on, if something I post offends you (which I severely DOUBT, for now I know how many nuns frequent this site), please oh please just PM me instead of bothering poor William, as he has had enough to deal with RE: bickering among the staff and rebuilding this site all over again. I will take care of the rest. Capish??? Again, sorry! I really didn't mean to offend anyone. I am not sure how this is any different than the "betta porn" that was so popular the other night.....................but whatever.........

Please understand there are no black marks against your name or anything It was just borderline and borderline can be risky on a forum like this. I wasnt involved, but I can see the reasoning behind it. I know from previous experience that having a post pulled can give you bad vibes but thats not the intention, just the smooth running of the site.

I understand, I just wish that I could have taken care of this myself instead of being "told on". Admins have enough to deal with that I am sure are more important than things like this. Thanks for the kind words. I never thought that I would be called into the principles office, I am a good girl!

I have been lurking here quite a while now and have always liked it here until the last day or two, but have never posted or even joined until today I only joined to ask a question but before I did I saw a couple of replies here today from moderators and some other members and I got scared I would get in trouble if I asked the wrong thing. I try to treat my fish the best i can but I see how people really get mad at others theat don't do it the right way.

I have noticed that there are quite a few members that complain about to much and ruin it for the rest of us i realize I will be hated here for saying that especially with my first post and I'm even afraid to ask a question now if others hate me maybe they might give me wrong advice and I kill my fish. I just think it's terrible that olive had to even had to feel the need from William or whoever else private messaged her to ask her to do this. why does she have to do this in public? it's not right.

Thanks Angela88, but let me explain. No one made me do this (apologize) in public, I did it on my own free will. I just wanted everyone to know how sorry I was if I had offended them. That was not my intention, I really thought people would get a kick out of it, but I was wrong. I had posted it before the site went down and the people who saw it them were all laughing their pants off, so I didn't forsee any problems this time. In fact, I didn't think anything of it at all. I guess I should start thinking more....
This IS a great site. We had a few bad apples that were in the bunch but they are gone now. Please don't be afraid to speak your mind on this site, because most of the time you will be applauded for it. I am a good person with a strong moral upbringing, but I also have a sense of humor and a great mom who taught me to speak my mind. That is why I wrote my public apology. I wanted to explain myself! I hate it when there are people upset because of something I did. I just can't stand it............I am here to make friends........not enemies.
I really feel bad that William had to deal with this himself and I guess that is my biggest regret is that I made him stop what he was doing to fix this. YIKES I am just this regular 'ol girl who loves her dogs and fishies! Didn't mean to cause ANY problems!!!!
I wish to welcome you to this site and I apologize that my PMS-Y letter ruined your newbie experience. I hope you stick around 'cause you will learn a lot and meet a lot of great people. Stick around, and you will see what a welcoming place this is. I really do (usually) fit in here.

I don't know, but I dont think Olive was asked to apologise. If a post is pulled, we always try to PM the person to explain why. We leave it up to the member if they want to apologise, but we deal with any such matters in private.

The picture in question is still in the moderators area and was put there so we could all make a decision, and I think Olive was kept informed about this.

No,No, No--- I wasn't pressured. I did it to try to smooth things over with whomever I offended. I don't even care about the stupid picture anymore....... Moderators, please just go on to something IMPORTANT and forget about this. Erase it, dump it, whatever! Just get rid of it, I really don't care! I am sorry to have started this, it wasn't my intention. Please, please, please let's just move on!!

Oh Angela88, one more thing. You will never, ever get the kind of advice that would intentionally harm your fish. The people here love fish and would never do that to you or anyone else. Don't worry, you are safe here. The people here know a lot and are here to help. Please feel free to ask away, you will be shocked at how many responses you will get! Olive, just because William spoke to you does not mean that the "highest power" was called in.

William always has had a hand in the moderating. He just happened across it.

Unfortuneatly for some of us with a more lenient view of what may be "obscene", this board has a "G" rating in it's security certificate.

I run across this decision all the time in General chat.

We would greatly welcome constructive input from members on where and how to draw the line.

we as Mods are here to make this the best place we can, not the most stifling.

We can never forget that it is a worldwide community. Some folks run nekkid in the streets, while others are burning books at the public school library......

I think that Olive was only trying to be nice in this thread. And now somehow it has turned into a "Olive you shouldn't be upset...this is why...and just because a mod said something to you about it doesn't mean you should get your panties in a bunch." Well, she sent me the pic last night and I saw absolutely nothing wrong with it. I can not for the life me understand why someone got upset with it.

If this is the type of censorship we can come to expect from this forum, then I don't know if I want to be a part of it.
