My Gorgeous New Betta!

Hey guys, wanted to share my newest Male VT with you as I think he's great

I went to the LFS 4 times this week just "looking" and today I persuaded myself dividing my tank and buying him was a great idea

I know he may only be a VT and not a fancy HM or anything but what you guys reckon?

Now my other boy is in the corner of his half sulking because he gotta share his tank

I can't see the pics at the moment (at work) but this just reminded me...my nephew (2 at the time) informed me that my betta fishy needed water....well d'oh I did wonder where I was going wrong lol.

The first time I had to flush a dead fish, my daughter asked why. She was 3. I told her the fishy went to sleep forever. Before bed, she went to the toilet and told the fish goodnight

Beautiful betta. I really love his coloring. Very fancy for a VT (I think VTs are great anyway. I have one )

Thanks, when I first saw him in his little section of the LFS Betta barracks whizzing around in circles flaring like crazy I thought "definitely need to find room for him"

Also rescued a white bodied female today who has a slightly curved spine, like a kink just before the tail so she's gone into my growing Female community in the kitchen Need to find some more though, females have been quite rare to find in Bristol

Unless you are showing or in some social circle where "variety counts" pretty is pretty... And it's as simple as that. If he's for your enjoyment, as long as you enjoy him.... All is good!

+1 my first betta was a Blue and red VT and he was the most awesome flirtiest betta I have ever owned!!

He is awesome and I have another VT too, blue and red but he's a bit of a sulky tail biter

All mine are HMs, but my boyfriend has a really cool VT... And for personality, that VT is the coolest personality... He is why I got Bettas! He jumps to grab food from your hand

New guys really active, my other one is so chilled out and just sits ontop the filter relaxing lol, shame he keeps shredding his tail though, is there anything I can do to make him stop?

Woke up today to find that new guy has blown a HUGE bubble nest

He's still going now and just sits under it fully flared and showing off
