We bought a glo fish last night and noticed today that it is bullying our other fish. The guy at petland said that with what we have it would not be a problem. We currently have a 10 gallon with a neon tetra(full size), black molly, fancy guppy and a turquoise guppy. We have a fully cycled 5.5 gallon tank just for looks. Do we need to move the glo fish in the reserve tank or what and if so will it be fine by itslef or does it need other to play with? TIA

Glofishes are danios and are schooling fishes. Buy at least 5 more to reduce the aggression. They are also known to be fin nippers.

Another problem is that Zebra Danios (glofish are Zebra Danios with spliced in genes from marine creatures) are extremely active fish...far too much so for a 10 gallon tank, but the bigger issue is that yes it needs other Zebra Danios to be with.

The danios I've owned have never nipped fins. Not to say that others never will, but I just had to say something about that.
We've had danios with guppies, a betta and numerous other fish and the only aggression they've ever shown is their usual chasing around the tank.

You should really think about getting a couple more. The 10gal really is too small for danios even though they are small fish. Since they're so active a larger tank would be much better for them.
I would suggest getting maybe 3 or 4 more.

If the danio is doing nothing but chasing the other fish..... that's just regular danio behaviour.

danios are fun to watch school. i have 5 orange finned danios and 4 giant danios in my 29 gal and they school around and is fun to watch.

your neon, molly and guppies would also prefer to have five or six friends.....perhaps you could upgrade your tank size and add plants and ornaments for hiding places?
