this is my 60l hexagonal tank that im going to put a male betta with come other fish. its not finished decorating or planting. the bog wood is staying but the little things are just temporary. i am making a slate cave to go in there.

please tell me what you think and if you have any plant or ornament recommendations, thanks!

Definitely a LOT more tall soft plants like the Cabomba you have there. Elodia is good, as are Aponogentons. It's a really nice tank .

nice tank, but as honeythorn said, more taller plants are a must, amazon swords are good, java fern

i have a lid but the light means it wont fit on. i dont know wether to attach the light onto the hood or cut the hood around the light

You could get a piece of clear perspex cut to size and shape, and add a small knob on top ( perhaps one of those fancy little glass doorknobs or something to jazz it up ) to make it easy to lift off for maintenece and feeding?

It'd be easier and better than hacking into the original hood.

yea they can do that espicaly with the widness of they tank u have, coming home to dryed up betta on the floor is horrible....
