Kicking back on a nice friday night at 9:30pm when all the sudden there a big splash i looked over and i see my cat running and my frontosa flapping on the floor, i stressed out right away and went to go grab the big net, and i rushed back i see my cat stalking it, i yelled at it and jumped to put the net over as i did it the cat was less than 1 foot from it, i told the cat were to go and picked the fish up and put him back in the tank.

PHEW!

lucky you got to it in time!

don't you have any cover glass?

Bad cat!

My weather loach decided to jump out of my tank one day while I was cleaning it. He jumped out and went directly into the intake for my forced air furnace next to the tank. After scrambling for a screwdriver to remove the intake cover I found him covered in dust and dirt and tossed him back in the tank. He was ok though.

I used to have a blood parrot that liked to jump out as soon as I would lift the lid to feed it. Thing had some serious issues so I gave it away. I think it wanted to die.

Same thing happend with my pleco the cat lifted his paw up to swipe it, like it was in slow motion or something but i managed to push it away and saved the pleco lol

We had a ropefish once.

After a couple of weeks I couldn't see it in the tank. I did a full search of the tank, the the floor around the tank and behind and under all the nearby furniture.
After a while I decided the cat must have got it and gave up looking.

Four years later we moved the tank and found the perfectly preserved dried ropefish in the small space under the tank's cabinet.

I still have it!

Well I have a missing rubber-lipped pleco and I am wondering where I am going to find him someday. He is not anywhere in the tank as I have searched and searched and searched. The rock that the plecos hide in, I removed and ran running water through as fast at it would come out of the faucet figuring if there was a decaying little pleco in there I wanted it out, but nothing. I've looked in the filters so I can only assume he didn't actually make it home from the store (we got a bunch of fish that day and didn't do roll call when they entered the tank) or he got out or he simply vanished!
