My friend's Blood parrot.

My friend is having his tank repaired, so i offered to look after his blood parrot. Thankfully it is only a juvenile. Anyway, since I have bought it he (fish) has been going over to the heater and resting upon it, or laying down on his side for short periods o time. Once i feed him he get's up and swims ok. I'm wondering if there is a lack of hiding spaces for him. And maybe temporarily I could buy a cheap ceramic plant pot for him and put some plants in front. is it worth it though?

btw. about 30 seconds through i open the lid of the tank and then close it, this is why he comes out from the space then goes back.

You did climatise him right, what was the ph of your freinds tank to yours, sometimes it's just stress due to the move, give him time.
