out of interest, how much do you guys pay for your tanks/jars over in America?
cos over here in England, its about £9.50 for a 3UK G acrylic tank....
cos you guys seem to be able to have loads, so the tanks must be pretty cheap...

Oh my goodness, he's gorgeous! Vinita's super-nice to just give him away.

As for how much tanks are, I get my 2.5 US gallons from Wal*Mart for about $25. They come fully outfitted with Whisper filters (which I don't use), a little trial pack of water conditioner, lid with light, and so on. I'd get the critter keepers, but I don't have enough lamps for them.

You can get an Aquaview 1 gallon here (with light and under-gravel filter, which is useless) for about $10, and you can get a bare-bones glass 2.5 gallon tank with lid for the same price. Not all that cheap, I've just kinda accumulated tanks over the years
I am using my plastic 1 gallon juvie jars to house the new fish temporarily until I move, then I plan to upgrade everybody to 2.5 gallon glass tanks when I get the money and find a place to buy them in bulk. The plastic containers are only about $2 each, and you can get a 4-5 gallon once for less than $5.

try wilkos.. 2.99 for a 5gal without anything other than a lid.. though they have a 10gal with filter heater lights gravel net etc for 14.99 though it is a hex. Nice for a single betta, or 2 divided.

which wilkos is that? I payed £4.99 for a 2gal, and theres a hex which is no more than 3gal with light UG filter etc. for about £25 I think..
