Nice fish!! Have a question for you, are the neons bullied by the cichlids?? I thought cichlids are aggressive carnivores and attack smaller fish.

Thank and no, the rams are as peaceful as it gets..infact they all are..the rams chase each other away occasionally but they are pretty chilled overall...these type of cichlids are not the aggressive type...

I now have a pair of appistos, 2 rams, 1 blue neon ram, neons, copper harlequins, various corydoras', albino glowlights, diamond tetras and a little pleco.

im absolutely in love with the appistos! i wish the lfs would sell them!

The pair I have sat in my LFS for weeks, I would pop in occasionally and see if anyone had bought them, when i had a bit of cash I decided to take them and see how they were...so far they are ok, the male gets a bit miserable at times but on the whole they are nice little fish, and I'm not a cichlid person believe it or not, but I like the colours.

until very recently neither was i! NW chiclids just attract me, i love the amazon river and am considering starting an amazon based aquarium.
