i went and bought new fish that was ordered for me, any special care needed ?

sailfin tang
2 percula clowns
1 maroon clown
1 boxer shrimp
2 gobies
3 true crabs
3 turbo snails
1 hermit crab
1 cleaner wrasse

coral

1 seabae anemone..

We need more info. Tank size, lighting, amount of live rock, etc. Did you add all of those things at once?

sailfin tang - need big tanks
2 percula clowns - generally good choice, may fight with maroon
1 maroon clown - may fight with perculas
1 boxer shrimp - if the tank is small it may end up eating one of the gobies
2 gobies - what kind of gobies?
3 true crabs - do you mean emeralds or something else? Emeralds are okay, if they aren't emerald crabs then watch out.
3 turbo snails - good choice
1 hermit crab - good choice
1 cleaner wrasse - bad choice, these fish almost never eat prepared foods. They eat parasites off of toher fish, and that's it. You'd need dozenss of fish to keep this one healthy

1 seabae anemone - what is your lighting? Anemones usually need a lot of light, and shouldn't be added to tanks younger than 6 months.

36 Gallon tank,

jebo skimmer
aquah2o external filter (450L/H)
1x reefglo 20 Watt 50/50
1x dayglo 20 watt 10 000 k
1x moonlight 20 watt
1x powerhead 1200 L/H

20 KG of live rock and crushed coral.

added 4 fish a 2 weeks ago and 4 today..

trying to find the name of the crabs.

they are redish with blue bellys..

jesus...... Tang police, tang police, tang police (refer to my display picture). Why didnt you ask us before getting them?

sailfins are worse though they outgrow yellow tangs, reported 40cm from top to bottem maybe thats wild though, still there prob tiny little things now but sailfins grow big so i would take that back!

maroon and perculas probably wont mix since there fairly similar body shapes n all.

almost all cleaner wrasses i have come across eat frozen not one so far has rejected frozen brine out of an estimated 30 this is. a better choice however is a neon goby since there tank bred mainly do a better job and cleaner wrasses do an important job in the enviroment i learnt this from my mistakes of getting one and now il opt for a neon goby every time.

tank is OS ?

maybe i dont know how to convert litres to gallons properly..the tank is quite big, cant even find the tang most of time...

bout 100 liters....

OS stands for overstocked. It is not a big tank....

you probably wont see the tang because they usually get imported really small like clown fish size small, but they grow big!!

Typing the words "Tang police" is a MAJOR piss-off to many people (especially me).

Still, it would be best to remove this fish (sailfin) as soon as possible, and certainly before it reaches 6'' in length.

I agree on the tang!

But how can you add four fish last week and four this week? I only count seven in the list you started with?

If you didnt have the tang I dont think it would be so bad It isnt massivly overstocked tho?

and yeah you cant really mix clowns???

take the tang back and the maroon clown, get a few chromis instead nice and easy ! get on well with your fish.

Get more snails and a few more crabs too!

I had a scout around for more info on boxer shrimps and they are intolarent to triggers and wrasses, and should only be bought as a true mated pair or on there own as they fight. they could nip coral or anenome's too feed on the food the nem has eaten

and your lights arent very good for the size of your tank, and to keep anemone's and also your tank isnt ready yet it needs to be at least 6 months old in my opinion!!

and what have you got for flow apart from your external, nitrate farm. . cough . . .filter?

I recommend a sump with that setup myself?

Just my opinion and if I'm wrong someone will correct me! Im sure of it

:)

percula and maroon clown have been seen to get along really well,in my case they do get along really well, the 3 clowns are on there own near the nem, the tang is quite small, will post pics later, im defintely not stopping now, already in the beggining of a 400 litre tank being setup,

so please people, just chill. im here casue i love the hobby and not here to let fish or invertebrates die for no apparent reason... the 400 will be setuo in the next 4 months, lots of time for the tang to get big and i will move him,ive done my research before i bought the fish, and i know what size they get,we dont get alot of fish imported near us so i buy what i like and change the tanks to whatever will be best for the fish...

just here to learn...

will post some pics tommorow.

the only fish i am worried about is the cleaner wrasse,

things get done a bit diffrent in south africa... hehe :)
