Hello,
My name is Tyler I got into fish a few weeks ago.I enjoy them and need to ask a question.I currently have a tank I do lots of Maintanance alot have a nice clean tank with a ph of 7.6 which all my fish need high alkaline water.I have 1 black moor goldfish,1dalmation molly,3 serpae tetras,2glowlight tetras, and an albino clawed frog.My dalmation molly seems to get angry at the tetras and chases them i'm not aware of what behavior this is eitehr play or territorial fighting.
It's a 10 gal. and all the fish in it.i ahve 3 plants all together and a rock with a little cave for my frog and and little tunnel cave for my fish to go through my dalmation thinks the whole tanks his so i'm think about upgrading to a 20 gal. tank and 10 gal to my frog.If territorial problems are occuring someone please help me with my question.

Email answer or Repost if you know the answer.kthanksbye

This should be in the begginer questions section really :) .
I wouldn't keep a molly in less than a 15g as they need there space. They also require plenty of swimming space. However i do think it's in there nature to be a bit aggressive towards other fish.
Serpae tetras should be kept in a 15g+. They are a schooling fish and need to be in groups of at least six.
Glowlight tetras again should be kept in a 15g+. They are also a schooling fish and need to be in groups of at least six.
I think you need to upgrade your tank size. You could then get another 3 serpae tetras, 4 Glowlight tetras and you would still have room for a 5 -6 inch of fish, maybe a pair of rams or dwarf gouramis.

Also, now I could be wrong here...but, Goldfish and Black Moors are coldwater fish whilst all the others are tropicals. So them two should be in a seperate unheated tank.

The tetras will survive in alkaline water but certainly don't need it . Actually none of your fish NEED high alkaline water but the molly wil prefer it.
The goldfish fills the tank on it's own & should be in cooler water. It should outgrow a ten gallon tank.
The mollie , serpaes & glowlights fill the tank on their own butthe mollie is feeling crowded which probably explains the bullying. If you get another tank aim for a 20g minimum for mollies.
The albino clawed frog shouldn't be kept with fish - they get to the size of a hand & eat fish. They are also incredibly messy & need mega filtration.

You'll have great fun for years with this hobby, research any creature before you buy it (don't trust the store) & try & give it the best home possible. If you don't have the facilities don't buy it.
