Oh the money ive borrowed wasnt for gifts haha, it was for general stuff :))

If you're having to do that much cleaning, something is wrong; either your under-filtered, over-stocked, or over feeding.

For example, I have a 220l tank in my bedroom, with 42 green neons, 18 hatchets, a couple of bristnoses, a whiptail plec and nine glass cats, and I don't have to clean my tank like you're having to do yours.

I change 50% of the water every week, and hoover under the ornaments and round the plants, maybe once a month or so. I've never had to strip it down or do a total change in the 2 1/2 years it's been running.

+1

I gave my husband a list of things I wanted for my tanks for Christmas last year. The next day he gave me the list back with a credit card and told me to order what I needed. Best Christmas ever! When I gave him the total, he was really surprised. He said when he priced the stuff it came to double the total I gave him. I bought extras too. Must be I'm a better shopper.

maybe he has better taste for expensive stuff too :D
