My bosesmani Rainbow Fish has a injured gill or infected gill :( . I was on vacation when it happened, so I don't know exactly what caused it. only one of his gills is swollen, the other one is fine. His breathing is normal, he eats, and is active. At first I thought it was a injury, but souldn't it started to heal by now :/ . It's been about a week. can anyone tell me what's wrong with him?

Is the gill also red and inflamed, you will have to look behind the gill for parasites.

The gill is red and inflamed, but i can't really see anythink on it (he doesn't stay still for very long) what should i look for. :dunno:

Any flicking and rubbing on objects, could be a parasite like gill flukes but you won't see them with the naked eye, just wanted to look behind he gills to make sure there wasnt a bigger parasite attached to the gill.

No I haven't seen him rubbing or showing any other signs of irritation, but I'm thimking that it must be a infection. If it was a injury it should of healed by now. What should I use to treat him, what stuff works?

Can you post water stats to take a look so it isn't bad water quality causing it to be red and inflamed, in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, i would treat for a parasite also they can bet bacteria infections on top of parasites.
