:D Funny story (at least in my opinion)

I fed my Corys some algae wafers duning feeding time to see how much they liked them. It turns out the corys (who the wafer was meant to be fed to) wearn't interested in it at all. But the other fish love it. When I looked there were 5 fish feeding on one wafer.

Hi Sea_Monster87 :)

Yes, a lot of fish like them. And it's good for them, too. I'll bet you were surprised, though!

Try feeding it to your corys when you put the lights out in the evening. They are active during the night and will probably eat it then.

Most fish love vegetable based foods and is their normal diet in the wild. All my cichlids and piranhas are fed mostly veg based diets.

Ummm, SMB.....

Piranhas? Vegetables?
Snakes? Rice?
Tigers? Tomatos?

I think you see what I mean.......Might sound stupid, because i am when it comes to piranhas.

P.T.

LOL, it's ok.

Piranhas main diet in the wild, depending on species is vegetables and nuts. They'll eat anything that falls in the river if they're hungry but the idea of them being killers no matter what isn't true. Only if they are starving.

Most of my fish will eat the wafers before they get to my catfish or Plecs!!
They also enjoy catfish pellets!

Clown loach love wafers and click while they eat them!!

Corys are fishes that don't usually "stop" to eat, they continue "ploughing"/"plowing" bottom.. Until they find some food again...

Sea Monster....try this: drop the pellet in right after you have fed your fish flakes. There will be one or two the follow it down but they will go back up for the sure thing.

I have to clown loaches that come out of hiding as soon as I open the top to drop in flakes because they know a pellet is being dropped for them to begin clicking at... :kira:

I think ALL fish are at least a LITTLE wierd.....at least mine are.

Wait until you get a color biased fish that will not let orange fish eat from HIS wafer.....My male platy would let all the white Platies and green Swordtails eat with him, but if ANY orange fish came around (Platy or Sword), he let them have it and chased them off.

I never know fish were racist??????

I dropped in those hikari algae wafers for my rainbow shark

mainly the pentazonas eat a little and in five mins it turns to a mush I cant then pick out again, so I have stopped using them

I am getting another tank with 2 angels
6 black phantoms
6 rosy tetras
3-5 panda cories
(some wise person told me I need cories)

.....so why am I feeling a little bit down...with nothing to aim for now?

It's because you don't have any cory cats to make you laugh! You simply MUST get another tank!

I do hope cories eat these things!

I have now through the use of peas, tomato, lettuce, algae wafers, and sinking pellets come to the conclusion my shark will not believe me when I tell him these are food. Food to his mind is algae and cucumber, cucumber and maybe some more algae!!

hey ho off to buy a cucumber just for the fish............cause I bloody hate the stuff, which is why I feed the ones in the bag that came with my indian to the fish in the first place!!!!!

:D Oh, what a surprise it is to see that again!!!!! :D

You will enjoy your corys, for sure. And, you will be glad you got another tank, too.

MTS (multiple tank syndrome) strikes again!!!! :kira:
