All of my previous post about this subject are quoted below. My fish have been sick for a while and it's getting worse. I've been treating them for gill flukes but it's not working. What should I do??

My fish have not been eating for quite some time. At first I thought they were constipated so I feed them some peas and some of the fish that hadn't shown in a very long time showed some interest but when I gave them peas a few days later they didn't eat them, just like there other food. I usually either give them flakes or freeze dried bloodworms. Some of them don't even attempt to eat. Others appear to have an appetite but when they eat the food they spit it right back out. They are five cherry barbs. All of my water stats are fine. I'm starting to worry because even the fish that used to be my giant is dangerously thin. Someone please help me out.

I just discovered that my cherry barbs have gill flukes. First of all (other than wilder(thanks!))can anyone tell me about gill flukes. The issue really is on a website I read about the following treatments:
Praziquantel (also called Droncit (USA) or Drontal (UK) PraziPro (Hikari)) - Now prefered over Fluke tabs as it's much safer for fish
Paragon - by Waterlife UK (Mild infections) (safe with shrimps and snails).
Sterazin - by Waterlife UK (Serious infections) (not safe with shrimps and snails).

I think that my fish have a serious infection so i'm considering Sterazin but I have pond snails in my tank and I really like them and don't wan't to harm them. Does anyone know of any other treatments in the US?

I recently discovered that my fish that had been sick for weeks have gill flukes. I bought this medicine called Parasite Clear, these little dissolving tablets, and added two with 48 hours and a 25% water change in between. One of my fish (whom I believe was the first to get sick) died the day after I put in the first dose but i'm assuming its because he was sick. So now that i've finished the two doses, what do I do know? No more fish have died.

Hm if they are very thin its most likely either;
a. Internal parasite infection, or
b. Internal bacterial infection

Do any of the fish have bent/warped looking spines at all?
I found "anti slime and velvet" by Interpet a good med for treating gill flukes (it treats gill flukes amoungst many other internal parasites). But for now i would advise maybe one more course of the Parasite Clear med (i assume its the one by Jungle) after a 40% water change as if your fish have internal parasites, it should treat these- i don't think its a particularly strong parasite fighting med though, so you may need to try others.
