My First Venture Into The "nano" World!

I've just received my 12g nanocube and I'm doing the "dry run" it all seems ok but my question is, should I move the stock pump to the first chamber and get a maxijet 1200 for the third? can I still use the jbl skimmer in the first chamber with this setup? thanx for taking the time to read this and help would be very appreciated!!
