Hello, here is a picture of my first tank :D :

75 gallon, fishless cycling now.

I found two hitchiker snails today and managed to capture one of them. I had dipped the plants into saltwater for about 5 minutes, though maybe I didn't use enough salt.

Are these good or bad snails? I fear they may be bad ones  .

The water specs are pretty bad right now for animals - ammonia 4.0, nitrites .25 (yeah, I have nitrites!), I wouldn't have thought they would survive both the salt and the ammonia, they sure are tough little buggers.

That's a nice tank! It's gonna look amazing when the plants grow.
If I were you I'd take the snail out just in case.

Those are pond snails and they will munch on your plants, not like some apple snails will but they will munch on the edges. Good looking tank, depending on what you put in there there are several options for snail controll.
