Well here is my first attempt at tropical fish keeping.

Vital stats:
-65 Litre tank
-Under gravel filtration
-2 x 11 watt lights
-5mm dorset gravel

Been a breath of fresh air joining these forums compared with some other i have come across! And i must say everyone has been so helpful, compared to the idiot who served me in my lfs ("here's your tank, come back in 3 days for your fish when it has cycled")

So thanks to these forums I am now doing a fishless cycle, and i have an external canister filter arriving tomorrow to replace the apprently useless UGF. Anyway onto the pics for anyone who is interested!

Not much to look at just now, but its a start, going to get rid of those fake plants and put some more real ones in later on this week.

thanks for looking, Paul

really nice looking tank.what size is it?

It's 50x49x34cm (5mm glass) 65 Litre capacity ~18 US Gallons

sweet tank, what fish are you thinking of?

-bolovian rams
-kribensis
-apistos
-harlequin rasboras
-ottos
-corydoras
-tetras

Somthing along those lines, obviously not all of them, just doing my research at the moment!

awwwww that's a really nice looking little tank. i like the substrate with the bigger and smaller stones.

clearly will be better without the fake plants and some real ones thriving in their place, but i think the whole scape is really ncie.

certainly better looking than my 1st tank!!

Hey there,

That's a really good first tank, and well done for doing your research! Have you thought about a betta? Good size tank for a betta that...
