Hi I got some plants about 4 days ago which I ordered off the net. They are Tropica "Crypts", One arrived fairly bushy with plenty leaves and the other small with around 8 leaves.

I planted them both in my 10 gallon tank and in my eco-complete subtrate, and I am also about 11 days into a fishless cycle.
I am leaving my 15watt light on for 12 hours a day using a timer switch.

The plant which has the most leaves is starting to look abit "grotty" and some of the leaves look like they have melted at the tips, "browny looking as if they have been burned", and some holes apearing in the middle of the leaves as if they have also been burned.

Is this bad???

cryptocryne species go through "crypt melt." They will rot but shortly after they will produce new leaves. Just cut off any dead/ dying leaves to promote new growth

so i just cut the leaf off and not the whole stem????
my smaller plant has about 7 stems, and the big plant which is rotting abit has about 20, how do I make the little one grow?

cut off the whole stem.

trimming plants produces new growth, so the more you trim the quicker it will grow. If you want you can cut off all the stems just leaving the base and roots.
