My First Kribs;)

Hi,

I finally got a pair of kribs that are about 1 1/2"

They have really nice color!
Would they be able to breed soon?




and my male krib always trys to get the female into the cave.whats he trying to do?

He is probably getting ready to breed. Are they are a for sure pair? Or just a random male and female?

well the manager asked if i wanted a pair so they might or they might just be two random fish.
Last night i looked over in my tank and my female was displaying to my male and her stomach was just so beatiful just a dark purple.he swam over but then right after he left.

i have notice the cave kind of thing that i put in the tank she sticks around all day and trys to get the mae over there sometimes.

There not usually aggressive only sometimes.


does that sound like pair behavior???

Before spawning does the male chase the female around the tank?

because today i was waching them and it kind of looks like aggression when he chases her around the tank.

Are her fins nipped up? Is she hiding from him? If not, then they are probably getting readsy to breed.

Her fins aren't nipped.she doesnt hide very much from him and when he chases her away she just keeps going and displaying for him.



When do you think they will breed?


P.S. I only got them 3 days ago.

I couldn't tell you. i doubt anyone could tell you. If I were to guess, in the next 2 weeks or so. Maybe longer.

I got the pics and here they are.

My female cleans that whole thing like all day and the male helps to. The female usually cleans in that cave under it and gets the male to, too.
