ok well like it says tonight I had my black mollies had their first fry (and my first fry too) 21 total count plus 4 dead ones plus 4+ that were eaten. here's a picture (I think there's only 17 showing in that pic):

so now I've got TONS of questions, how long will they be ok in the breeder net in a 10g tank?

could I move them to an uncycled (no filter just airstone and heater) 10g tank and raise them in there?

food I'm doing crushed flakes, then this weekend I'm going to get some baby brine shrimp, and some zuchini (sp?) to boil for them, anything else?

I think that's all for now, thanks for looking and thanks ahead of time if you give me any advice (all advice is appreciated!)

i guess you could do the unfiltered tank, just make sure you are changing most of the water everyday, they can be very messy. you could go get a sponge filter to hook up to the air pump instead of the airstone.

the diet should work fine, i did bbs and a crushed mixture of a regular flakes, spirulina flakes, dried bloodworm and dried daphnia

yeah I knew it was like 17 or 18 in that picture but there are in fact 21 here, Sponge filters aren't that cheap around here, the only place locally I found wanted EIGHT BUCKS US for one, so I said screw that I'll probably just get one of those little plastic filters with the sponge and carbon in it for the tank they're only like 2 bucks, but since i'm in college it'll have to wait for the weekend as I don't have a car during the week.

Buses are your best friend in university. :D

The box/corner filter would also work really well. I have a sponge filter laying around, I'd hand it over if I could.. it's colonized and everything cos it's been sitting in my tank for a week or so now.

You can always feed them frozen baby brine shrimp.. any fish loves that!
