got my first fish today let hope thay settle in ok i think thay like haveing the tank to them selvs

i was told to get one male and to females guppy.s i must say thay do look good and i can feel the stress going out of me all ready

My LFS advised me not to get guppies as a first fish but 1-2 months after my first fish. They say this is because of inbreeding and beeing bred too quickly. Whether this is true or not I dont know. My LFS does usually give good information which usually is the same info in the pinned threads so I guess its right.

Unfortunately this is true inbreeding has seriously weakend the majority of livebearer species.

Ive cycled a tank with guppies and there still the toughest guys in the tank, only ones to never suffer an illness or injury depends on your supplier!

Did I read in PFK that there is an LFS down near you thats line breeding its own guppies?
