I know, I know.......Convicts.........so easy to breed........just add water etc...
......but I am chuffed anyway.
Interesting watching tank politics.......
In my "Hall" tank (see sig).....started out with 4 cons 4 harleys 3 silvertips and a Syno.....
Came down one morning to find a floating silvertip......next morning a harley.....
.......decided that the cons were getting a little over enthusiastic.........(even though they are only an inch long).....
So moved the silvertips and the Harleys into the other 100L in my sig.
Then the two females and one of the male cons ganged up on the smaller male restricting him to hiding behind the heater.
He was then moved into the other 100L community (and is doing very well there indeed).
As soon as he was out........the "pair" of cons that I had split.............and the male went with the other female......
..........the other female then laid eggs!!...
Then the pair ganged up on the Syno.....even though he is about 7 inches long.....
....so he went into the community....
Now i just have the breeding pair right in one corner of the tank......and the single female on her own in her rocky cave over the other side of the tank...
Reading "other posts" I see that it may be wise to get her out too.......
Interesting stuff though.................fascinating to watch!...
