My First Betta

I just got my first Betta today I know he's like the average red Betta that you usually find, but I just thought I might post some pictures of him

Nice boy you have there. What sort of set-up is he in?

Hes in a 90 L tank (Roma 90) planted and has some tank mates:

3 Zebra Danios
3 Sunshine Platies
2 Feather Fin Catfish
5 Neon Tetras

And they all get along fine

You'll want to keep an eye on them neons (possibly the danios too?). Neons are known to nip bettas tails and aren't considered suitable tankmates for bettas. Might be a good idea to have a small tank (2.5G ish) on standby in case. Keep an eye out for the neons chasing or nipping, your betta hiding or seeming stressed and any fin damage on the betta.

you may get away with the neons but the danios will have field day with his fins, best to get another tank if you can, sorry

I have found danios to work out with bettas, but that is only my experience... I think your tank is big enough for the betta to get quite a bit of alone time

Hes found a little hiding place if anything bad happens. But everytime I go to a shop I see Bettas with neons so I think they should be fine

The Danio's arn't bothered by him at all. So so far so good

Haha, I have 2 red Bettas (females; except one of them *Crystal* is a little different; not fully red like Raindrop*), & that's one of my favorite Betta colors!
