my final descision for my tank

I know what i want to get, but I want to know your taks on it, i have some feedback from another forum, but it is mixed, some say good, some say bad.

Pair Altrolamp. Calvus Chikata White
2m 3f Gold Ocellatus
1 dwarf pleco
7 Danios, had 8 but a little blue one dies, but i minght replace him/her and get some more as well.

I would have preffered multies, brevis, or julies, but the web site didnt have the right julies, and the brevis costed a bit much. But I can get some brevis instead if the occies wont work. The site is
www.frybabies.com btw, so yall can see where I am getting them from, and if the julies would work. I think they are some kind with a R. My lfs sells two kinds, transcriptus, and this other one that began with an O, but they were $20 each, which is rediculous, i think.

I don't think you'll have room for so many occelatus with the Calvus in there. I think it would work just fine if you go with 1m/2-3f.

Adult Calvus would also not hesitate to eat smaller shellies, but they also grow incredibly slow: you wouldn't have to worry about this for a long time, if you get them young.

see, i said at the other forum that I wanted to get 4 females because they said that i would be able to do that, but the mod said to get two males because that would make them breed quicker, the dominant one would want to claim his females from the subdominent one.

Mine was about 6-7 dollars, 20 is insane even if they are F0.

yeah that was it, i posted I remeberd after I posted, but wasnt able to get to a computer.

They are only like an inch or so. The store is such a rip off when it comes to fish prices, but the only one near by that sells tanganyikan cichlids.

Another rip off from them,
I got two multies from them for $20. That was both of them, well now I go back after a while, and there is no name on the tank, the fish is hidding under a filter because no shells for it. they relable it "Lamp", just like that, and it is now $19.99! The price of the tw before. And i feel basd for it all alone, and was going to buy it for my 5.5 untill I had the 29 all set up, but when I saw that price, whoo, way to much money.

You have the problem of rockwork taking up a good part of the tank for the Calvus, plus you need to allow for some roaming room for them. This leaves only limited space for the Occ. Now with two males you may end up with territorial problems.

What's the rush with breeding? are you keeping them because of the hobby or because you hope to make a quick buck?

well it was the mod that came up with the breeding thing.
But I do want to keep them for both. I want to keep them because I like them, though they are not my favorite, and i do plan to start a store, but I want to start breeding these guys to get the money so that I can get others. These are just my starting stock.
