started to brighten up a bit since i took the pic. :good:

:hi:
What a beauty!
Looks like you rescued him just in time - he must be happier than even your other half must be to get him.
It'll be interesting to see exactly how much fin he really has, once he's all better, so please remember MORE PICS!

Thanks for all the replies,

He's in his new tank new and is alot more settle now and has started to build nest, just got to get some large pebbles and some small foreground plants and his tank will be sorted:

Also i moved the heater from my other tank (I had two in there) and i just noticed some little white things on it, there are three patches of them and wondering if there are alright in the tank with Jacki Chan (missus named him)

they look like snail eggs to me, did you have snails in the other tank? your fish will most likely eat them, but if they do hatch you may want to remove them, snails breed like crazy!

yeah defo get rid of snail eggs we had a massive problem with them in our large tank downstairs!

i stole the other halfs camera in got some pics of the ladies,

If those are snail eggs, id leave them alone. loads of folks seem to think that snails are pests and should be treated as such. they are actually very benneficial to your tank, clean algae and are great indicators of water quality. They do tend to breed a lot and you'll be finding loads of eggs, but in my experience, their populations are self limiting...you'll get loads of tiny tiny ones but only few make it to adulthood. just my two cents
and those long grass plants in your tank (mondo grass) ar not true aquatics. they will be ok for a while but will start to deteriorate after a while. It's a shame they are marketed as aquarium plants...look into easy/fast growing plants like elodea(aka anacharis), camboba or water wisteria. they are easy to grow and do VERY well. they suck up ammonia like nobody's business and will help stabilize the levels in your tank...again, just my two cents.
he's looking GREAT! so handsome! (the girls are lovely as well!!!)
cheers
