:cool: :cool: :wub: I think my sailfin molly is pregnant as shes huge and swims slowly,if she is wwhat should i do also
how many fry does a sailfin molly usually have
how long does it take for the female to give birth

There is a pinned thread in the Livebearers forum. Mollies are generally pregnant for 3-4 weeks once you notice that they are pregnant. They can giver birth to nearly 30 fry, sometimes more. Just wait. Depending on what other fish you have in the tank, and if there are enough hiding places, all/most of the fry may be eaten. Don't worry: Livebearers breed like rabbits!
 
:blink: is their any way of making a tempopary net such as an ordinary net to keep them from being eaten
 
I'm sure someone i know uses muslin. I would get a breeding net.
 
You can buy a plastic breeder that fits inside the tank, but they are not ideal as the fry soon grow and if you have alot not much room, I felt upset at first leaving the fry in the tank, but you will get over run with fry if you don't.
