No m8 she is no where near ready to drop, you will stress her out keeping her in the trap..

She is overfed too, the drop in the front of her belly shows this..

When she is heavy pregnant, she will be dropped at the back of her belly, like this

PLease take her out as she is not ready...

If she dropped 2 weeks age, it will be at least 2 weeks til she drops..

After 1 week, keep a eye onher and her stomach..

Only when it looks large at the back and front like the above pic, then she is ready.

This how i can tell she is a bit overfed (her belly is dropped at the fron, past normal line in pic)

ohhh darn it, alright, i just released her into the tank . . .

i think i probaly misjudged her belly . . .

thanks for the heads up :good:

She look's ready to me. But if not, i'd give her a week at the most. My guppies always look like that the day before they are ready.

No disrespect but that guppy is not ready, its overfed, and it only dropped 2 weeks ago so its impossible its ready again..

Guppies drop once a month. I'd give it 2 more weeks. You can tell she's ready when she swims in the same spot and her fins start clenching up. She'll be much, much larger too. :)

5teady is right, the shape of her belly is distended with food and not fry. The stomach and oviduct are in different positions. Still, all of my platies look like that right after they get fed - it doesn't mean she's getting too much necessarily unless she's that shape all the time.

If she dropped two weeks ago, like everybody said it will probably be at least two weeks more. The soonest I've ever known a fish to drop was two weeks six days and the fry were abnormally small, more than half died. It was more an abort than a drop. One month is normal, with up to two months for large mollies. For two weeks gone though, she is pretty darn big. There's a lot of fry in there.
