I was just testing my water when I noticed that my Female Guppy was dead...

I have noticed she had been hiding away for the last few days, also when I fed she didn't seem that interested... but caught her feeding when I went away...
The male has also been pestering her the last few days...

I thought she was pregnant by the way she has been acting, also she has gained a bit of weight... so didn't take no notice of her behavior.

Also the other day I did post on the 'Tropical Emergencies' section of this forum, and also on this section about what I thought was 'poo' hanging from her body.

Here is that Image:

Anyway I removed her from the tank and took a picture of her...

There is no sign of disease, nor is there any sign of being beat up or anything else that could have caused her death?

I am aware that my Fish-in Cycle may have caused this, however if she was surviving when my Nitrites were 5.0ppm then 2.0ppm, that she may have been fine now the Nitrites have dropped down to <0.25ppm...?

Anyway here is a picture of her that I have just taken:

Any help would be appreciated... I am now worried for the other Guppy in the tank!

p.s.

Also what do I do with her now? I don't just want to flush her down the toilet!

Its a shame when fish die

Dont have much to offer to explain reason for death only that ammonia and nitrite may have affected the internal organs and caused a slow death

As for what to do with the dead fish. I personally just fold them up in kitchen roll and put them in the bin

Good luck and hope the rest of your fish are ok

on the plus side m8. Ive read alot of your posts and your replys and ill say this:

You will soon overcome this little "blip" and im sure you will maintain a happy and healthy tank for years to come.
After all...A lot of fishkeepers i know havnt got a clue about the scientific side of keeping a tank and they mostly do very well and if your like me (which i think u are) you will have soaked up tonnes of valuable information already in a very short time and will keep on learning and expanding your knowledge

Keep ya chin up :good:

Yeah I am taking in soo much at the moment but am enjoying every part of it :)

Well other than my fish dying on me... and Cycle taking some time... but I will get there :good:

I cannot wait to have a few tanks up and running :D

Thanks for the support!
