My female guppy is EXTREMELY huge. She's not pregnant either She has been this way for about 4 months. I originally thought she was pregnant because she has been pregnant before and has had babies. But, she's still huge! My camera doesn't take good pics of my tank but my camcorder takes great videos ... so I took a video of it. I don't feed very much, and have fed even less in the past month or two to try and get her to slim down. She hasn't gotten smaller at all. Is it hard for them to lose the weight they put on? She literally waddles when she swims lol. She gets along fine with all the other fish in the tank. There is no male in there anymore, he died a month ago. So no stress is on her. Her spine has curved alot since shes put on the weight and she looks like she's gonna explode! I really want to get her to lose weight but how can I do this? Feeding even less hasn't been working I'm very worried about her. Any Ideas?

My fat guppy

P.s. I have been giving her peas once in a whle over the past month or two as well to make sure she isnt constipated, she poops fine too.

I have this post in the livebearers section and someone said to post it here because it could be fish tuberculosus ... any second opinions ?

not that this will help any but i have a giant danio in the same situation, swimming fine, not stressed, just huge!

Bloating and curved spine can point to internal parasites.
I would check your fish when they go to the toilet, long stringy white poo, or clear poo can point to internal parasites.
Other signs are being thin, inflamed red anus or enlarged, worms hanging from anus.

nope, no stringy white poo or clear poo, its normal looking, shes definitly not thin lol did you see the video? shes huge, no worms hanging from the anus either, when a fish gets fat and overeats wouldnt that effect their spine? like what happens when they get TOO fat?
Everyone keeps telling me to kill her but shes absolutely fine, she hasnt been acting differently whatsoever, eats fine, and everything. She looks perfectly normal except after she sstarted getting fat her spine started curving

When a fish bloats up it can make the tail bend.
Curved spine and bloating can also point to fish tb.
Epson salt baths to help draw the fluids out.
When I said thin its a sign of internal parasites meaning if any other fish looked thin.

I know its not an easy thing to do but if I were you I would euthanize that guppy. I have seen a danio in an LFS like this and it is a sad sight to see. From what I have read online it is fish TB but it is really all word of mouth so I don't know if it is true or not. However, if it is TB you don't want to mess with it. I have lost too many fish to preventable mistakes to recommend anything else. You don't want to lose more than you have to.

If you are convinced it is not something that is catching then keep her but I wouldn't be. :/

HTH.
