well i think they love the sand in the tank!!

they keep diving into it and throwing it up into the 'air' (well water) they are seriously crazy they dont do it all the time but its rather amusing to watch so i hope its not a bad thing :rolleyes:
 
That may be them "scratching" themselves. It's a sign of parasites. That is NOT a good thing. Crank up your temperature a degree an hour until you hit 87F. Leave it there for two weeks.
 
ah right whats 87 in normal temps :blush:

they did it yesterday havent done it today i thought they were just checing the sand out
 
That should be okay for all tropical fish. You may want to add an air pump as higher temperatures allow for less oxygen to stay dissolved in the tank.
 
got one of the blue ball thingys blocwing bubbles, im still kinda new to this so dont know proper names of things yet

This is a really handy tip.

I have been fortunate enough for my fish not to suffer with this but I will remember this for future reference.
