I'm guessing the black one is a flatcoat retriever and the pup is a border collie? They're both really cute!!

The puppy has cool coloring. Is that type of coat coloring commen in jack russles and american stafershire terriers?

dont know but her mum is black and white (american Staf) and dad is brown and white (jack) so she bit of mum and dad

fantastic dogs ive got two dashounds they just had a littler of pups
i had a bordercollie until my dad left the gate open and it ran away

I had a Springer Spaniel/English Setter mix when I was younger and she looked IDENTICLE to your black dog! Except, she was white with tan patches.
