My dog is a wuss

She refuses to go out at night if it's a little chilly out. I ask her if she wants to go out so she follows me to the door and stops about 6 feetfrom the door as if to say

"ehhhh, that's ok ,I can hold it until spring"
and I end up shoving her out the door

So last night was our first really cold night...she would NOT go outside and ended up pee'ing on my floor, which of course she got thrown out for (just for a few minutes but still, I had to prove my point, she's going out either way )

So I started dressing her up to brace the cold weather, an old sweatshirt of my daughters and some cut socks for leg warmers, she looked so funny I almost pee'ed on the floor myself from laughing so hard :kira:

Am I a total weirdo for putting clothes on my dog?
Should I make her tough it out?
Please someone tell me I'm not the only one

You're not the only one..... my dog doesn't hate it quite as much, but he still gets dressed. Haha and he's a big macho boy!! :kira: When tis raining he gets to wear a yellow slicker that looks just like a dress... it's too big. He hates it!! And when it's snowing he has a red sweater he is forced to wear... with that one he grabs the collar in his mouth and tries to rip it off the entire time he wears it. Needless to say, the collar is all stretched out and he can practically slip out of it backwards now.. hmm.. maybe that was his goal all along!

since i'm in arizona and my short haired min pin is used to the warm az climate, when we go back to minnesota for christmas, i put a doggie sweatshirt on her. she absolutely hates it and refuses to go down the front steps by herself, but always gets over it (otherwise, she shakes so much she can't go potty!!!!!!). i also put it on her if its real cold (like 40s) at night or in the early morning here when i take her for her walk. at least its a black sweatshirt and she's black so its not quite so silly looking

Ok then....I'll keep getting her bundled up to go outside , what a spoiled dog, she's only been here a little over a month and look at her....she has me wrapped around her paw

my dog is a scardy cat.
list of thing shes afraid of:
1. lightning
2. any loud noise
3. bow and arrows
4. guns
5. walkie talkies
6. radios
7. gerbils
8.vaccums
9. leaf blowers
10. cameras
11. flashlights
and thos r some of the thing. my dog is a major wuss shes a border collie, she shouldnt be afraid of tiny animals if sheep dont scare her!
