Well it looks like i,m going to have to eat my words.

Jaffa my male that is more interested in food that sex, has started to do his job.
My blue diamond laid this afternoon and he's not eating them :hyper: , he's actually guarding them and taking turns to fan them :D

No joy with this batch but now there's a hope for the future.

I,m going to have to start lowering my TDS as its a little high at 257ppm, that and turn the filter off next time the lay.

Fingers crossed :p

I've HEARD that leaving a small lamp on overnight beside the tank helps them to "bond" with the fry. Sounds a bit daft but so many people seem to swear leaving "night light" on for them works that I'd be inclined to give it a go.......

I have a set of cold catodes moon light tubes, they tend to the eggs and fry better if they can see them, :) it also gives thrm a bit of extra sercurity during the night.

Wow. I've heard from lots of sources that the "night light" idea works, but never really knew why. They're just like toddlers really....

:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: whay hay i have wigglers, keep your fingers crossed :D

Any luck they should start feeding off there parents in 2 to 3 days, time get the brine shrimp going.

Well its bad news for this batch, i think all the attention they where getting in my main tank was to much for them, but on the bright side at least i know i have a pair that's doing the biz, and i don't have to spend about £150 on a proven male.

I,m going to move them to a 180ltr tank as soon as the i,ve matched the PH, and hopefully the peace will be just the ticket for the young lovers
