My discus eats crap

Lol my discus likes to eat crap. It's really weird. My platies are crapping all the time and my discus just eats it. It's nasty Why do you think this is?

EDIT: PS I'm sure most of you would kill to have a fish like this... no more vaccuuming.

You need to shop around more. Mine was only $20.00, and you can get them for less if you know where to look. Get juvies as opposed to adults; not only do they live longer but they cost less.

EDIT of course the rarer strains will cost more. Mine was a pigeon red, but even the snowflake (a rare, pure white strain) discus is just $40.00 at my LFS.

Yeah lol that's why it's so weird. I guess mine is not a finicky/picky eater. He does not seem to have much discrimination in what he eats. Another weird thing is that although he eats fish poop, he will turn his nose down at any flake I toss in there.

3. He spits out.
4. Next in line male sucks it in before it hits the substrate.
5. He spits out.
6. Next one in line sucks it in before it hits the substrate.
7. Out.
8. Repeat 6 and 7, 3 more times.
9. It finally lands on the substrate! (yeah!.... not...can you tell I really need to get a life? )

Repeat 1 - 9 about 100 times per day.
