Always Watching
Kay I've almost completed my 1st semester in collage. Unlike all my friends the dorms didn't sit too well with me. A 11x15 room(including closet) that I had too share w/ a buddy 
. Not too mention the cost of the room and food doubles my tuition. Home.... with its free food, free board, and my own big room was only 15min away. Not too mention thats where my fish tanks were. It wasn't too hard for me too decide to commute from home.
Anyway, next school year I will be living in the dorms. I made the choice, I don't like it, but that's life
. Originally the housing contract limited fish tanks to 10gal total in the room. This bothered me greatly I have 3 tanks totaling 90 gal and family knows nothing about fish. More so I can't imagine living without a tank .
Yet now something has happened! The contract has changed to say "In order to protect health and safety, fish and tanks must be approved by the HM." No more 10gal limit! So do you think I can convince them to let me fit a 55gal, 20gal, and 15gal in the room
? on top of that do you think it's possible? Would I have to worry about weight if I'm not on the 1st floor. Also tanks would have to be moved 4 times a year.
I was thinking if I fail to get the 55gal allowed in my dorm. I could try to convince the bio department to let me set it up some where in their department. I am majoring in biology and it is a high-tech planted tank. At least that way it would be on campus, so I could look after it. I could claim its for an honors project and has to stay there for three years. I think it would be cool to have a tank setup in a public area, but at the same time it scares me. People could mess with it!
Anyway I need to figure out what I'm going to do with my tanks before next semester is up! I keep finding myself planning to order more fish, I need to give myself a reality check and figure out what I'm gonna do with the ones I already have. I'm already hunting down the proper people to see if there's any chance I can get all the tanks in a dorm. Wish me luck!
