My Danio Is Dying!

One of my Danios suddenly is dying. It was happy and healthy and the other fish seem fine. Just now it was swimming with the other Danio and it just flipped upside down and tryed to burrow down into a plant. We took him out of there and put him into a seperate bowl of tank water.
Any suggesstions?

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph.
Sounds like swim bladder but they can show this behavour when there dying.

your ph is too low. try to raise it slowly to at least 6.5.

What about Nitrites and nitrates?.

I've tried to bring the PH up to about 6.5 by adding drops every day but the ph wouldn't stay up for some reason. Also I've had advice on this forum not to keep bumping up the PH only to have it fall again as this isn't good for the fish.
I'm buying a Nitrate/Nitrite test kiy today.
I know all fish die someday but it really was a sad evening when the Danio died.
