well i just finished re-cycling my new 10 gallon tank (re-do, used old gravel and filter for one week) its going to be super think in plants, i plan on taking alot of the plant infestation out of my other tank and puting it in there) as well as 8 other plants i bought today. one of them looks kind of coraly and spiny (bad description) and the other (from the infestation) is just one of those grass shapped plants, then the last one is just a regular begginers plant, (cannot kill this damn thing) so anyways, just lots of plants, and a log, and curvy landscape... bla bla bla... i almost bought some fish today at the shop but told myself NO, cause ya i dont even know what i want yet, or have done my research or anything at all. this thread is getting pointless, SO RIGHT TO THE POINT. how many fish (non agressive or anything fancy) under 2 inches could i fit into that tank. PS. its super over filtered,

Hi there, just to check... how did you cycle your tank? What was your ammonia source?? What are your stats for ammonia, nitrate etc...?
As for fish, using the inch per gallon rule you could have 5 smaller fish but with lots of filtration, like you said and a bit more maintenance I think you could have 2 or 3 more but you have to remember to check the activity levels of the fish as ones which are very active you need a bigger tank.
I have a 12 gallon which I am setting up with cories, a Betta and 2 ADF's.
HTH
:D

i used water, some gravel, and some bio balls from another extra tank i use to get that stuff from (a tank where i get my water from and colonized medias and stuff) kind of like a sump, but just its not filtering another tank. well i was really hoping for maybe at least 9 fish... but i know that would be over doing it. how many extra fish could i have with a fluval canister? (thats what i use) Oh and lots and lots of plants...
