I was just looking at my fish and noticed my cory has lost his eye. I got him almost 2 weeks ago and i am sure he had an eye in the shop. I have no aggressive fish (see sig below) so where has his eye gone?!?

Water stats would be good in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Did you notice if the cory eye was bulging out before he lost it.
Causes of missing eyes injury, a fish sucking the eye out, popeye.
Plecs and loaches are none for sucking fish eyes out.

No plecs or loaches.

Ammonia-0, Nitrites-0 Nitrates I'm having a little problem with I don't know whether you wrote on my other thread but nitrates in my tap are reading over 100 so not sure if there's something wrong with my test kit. Either way I do regular water changes and water parameters should be fine.

No eye bulging, i check my fish regularly, this little guy is a juli and he always seemed a little quiet and didn't shoal that much but never seemed to have external problems.

Any ideas?

Oh and pH 8

All you can do is check the other fish to make sure there no bulging eyes, or cloudy eyes.
To be honest I don't know how he lost it.
Seen any aggression in your tank.
How does the the fish look does the wound look clean.
They can survive with one eye.

All other fish look fine.

No aggressive fish.

Totally clean socket looks like there was never an eye there definitely no wound or redness or anything.

Guess I'll just leave the little guy then!

Thanks, just gave me a bit of a shock!

Good that the eye clean.
How do his barbels look do they look thin and short.

Barbels look pretty normal, he's a very active little guy so it's very hard to see.

Ok bless him.
Try and check them as short thin barbels can be a sign of a bacterial infecton.

Ottos could fo done it, I've heard a few storys of them doing this sought of thing.
