I noticed some blood near the gills of my corydoras. It swims fine, but once in a while it stays still looking a bit sick than back to normal after a few minutes. I decided to wait it out in hope that it will go away but after a few days it just gets worse. Although there is not much blood near the side gills, im afraid it will worsen over time. Is there anything that i can do to get rid of it.

Can you let us know what your Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and PH readings are? How long has the tank been set up and how long have you had this fish?

If not bad water quality it could be gill parasites, so look for flicking and rubbing against objects, and look under the gill flaps to see if you can see a a parasite there with the naked eye, won't see gill flukes though as you can see then with the naked eye.
