The tank. I hate those plastic plants, but any real ones I have put in there have been destroyed by those beasts.

My calico Shubunkin. He was in my mom's 29 gallon but I grabbed him and introduced him to the bliss of a 55 gal.

Here's the fancy comet that I grabbed from the Mill up the road it's the local pet store, he only sells goldfish.

Here's all three saying "Hey mom how about you feed us now?", the little calico shubunkin is so fast that I didn't get any good pictures of him.

beautiful clear pics - why dont mine work out like that??????? :p
oh & your fish are lovely too :D

Thank you everyone! The comet is about 8" if not bigger. And the shubunkin with more white is about 7" and the smaller shubunkin is probably around 5". They add so much color to the tank.

And Millym, I take the digital and hold the button half way down, and wait for the fish to go where I want them. Then I snap it. And having all the lights except the tank's light off helps too.

Great fish wow, yeah i can never get clear photos either, well anyways nice pictures and not sure about their eratic behavior.

love those fish, really big and healthy. as for plants i found java fern was something my goldies didnt like, have you tried that?

No but great idea. I have grow lights in that tank, and I want to plant it. But I was always afraid because of my beasts and their veracious appetites. I got the whole tank and a salt water system and everything for $150. It was in a furniture store down the road and he wanted to get rid of it and said he'd even deliver it for just that. But I didnt want to start all the work for a sw tank. So goldies it was. And the algea just thrives in there from all of the light.

you could try and get a full grown pice on a little bit of bogwood and put that in as i think getting little bits would end up with it being eaten as it would be mouth sized. remember to sterilise it first as you wont want any snails going in too.
what a great bargain you got and the goldies will nibble on the algae.
