My Co2 Setup For Dp Tank

i had some extra filter pieces and aquarium accesories so i took off the airstone and made this...its a 1 way valve pluged into a tube that has air in it and hangs upside down.

What is it supposed to do?

Is it supposed to be a diffuser ?

yes...the co2 comes through the valve and into the open dry space about 3/4s down and meets water going 1/4 the way up. then some bubbles come up if too much goes through...is this is good way to diffuse the co2 into the water? sometimes before the bubbles go they kinda stick out the bottom until they get pushed through

it will take a long time to diffuse into the water, but i would imagine it would be more affective than the airstone.
