my clown has not eaten for three days now the water parimeter is all good the other fish are fine and eating any suggestions or could there be maybe nothing wrong he isnt acting strange he just wont eat

thanks

When you say the water parameters are good, we really need to know exactly what they are (pH, ammonia, nitrite, temperature etc).

Clowns can also stop eating due to nervousness (does he have places to hide and other clown loaches to mix with, is he new to the tank?) or bullying (from other clown loaches, which usually occurs if you have too small a group).

Also, are you sure he isn't eating after lights out when you haven't noticed - clowns prefer to feed at twilight.

Is this a freshwater or Marine tank? Can you post numerical water stats please? What test kit do you use? How long has this individual been in the tank? If it is a marine Clownfish, is it wild caught or tank bred, and did you see it feed in the shop? What foods are you offering? What tankmates are there?

Sorry about all the questions

i use the test strips for saltwater and the colors are all in where they should be, but i do have api test kit iwill use that next, there are two clowns same size and he is with an angel and four nothing different going on in tank i have had him about 6 weeks

OK, has he eaten in the 6 weeks you've had it?

While you way the stats are OK, you still haven't posted numbers. On this occasion though, I'm not going to ask for them, as they are of little use. Strips are as accurate as getting a friend that does not know a thing about fish to just guess some noumbers for the results for you. While FW strips often read false highs/lows, marine strips only seem to do fasle lows. While the strips may say ammonia and nitrite are 0, they may not be...

Can you test with liquid based test kits, and post numbers for the results?

Any idea if the clown is wild caught or tank bred?

Were they feeding in the shop, and if so, what on? Did you see the fish eat, or just take the stores word for it/didn't ask?

Have you had it feeding since you have had it home, and what's it fed on if so?

We can't realy give any help/advice without the information I've asked for I'm afraid
