My brother got some cherry Barbs for a school prodject but he didn't take care of them so I put them in my room. I've had them for a month now, three pink ones and a browner one. I read that the females are browner than the pink males. The brown Cherry Barb looks like it might be pregnant (Although i read that cherry barbs aren't livebearers, so it would have laid the eggs already if this was the case) the area between the fins and head is enlarged. I'm not sure if this is a sign of desease or sickness; it swims and eats normally, so i'm not sure what could be wrong. Please Help!!! :dunno:

Just to make sure it isn't any deseases, fish is able to maintain balance in the water, are scales sticking out like a pinecone, try some shelled pea's to make sure it isn't constipation, what does it look like when the fish goes to the toilet what colour.

it acts just like all the other ones do; it doesn't float to one side, it eats fine, im not sure what color it is when it goes to the bathroom though cause i havent seen it. there's nothing else noticable except for the big bottom.

However, I also have two sunset platys and the smaller one seems to just lay on the bottom all the time. When I feed it or anyting it moves fine but sometimes it goes a little sideways. I put it in a little breader thing because I can never find it on the bottom or if it dies i want to be able to take it out. Do you know what might be the problem? The bigger one seems fine, and it seems like the little one is better since I seperated it.

Have the fish darkened in colour and what do you feed the fish.

 no that can't be it because it doesnt swim weird..and its not a beta so it cannot have that..i think it might have been constapation because it seems better now..thanks so much :D
