Hi There!

I woke up this morning a found that one of my Cherry Barbs was missing a chunk of flesh on one side.

I am unsure if it is a disease or if one of my other fish has been attacking it (mind you none of them are that vicious, maybe the betta).

Thanks in advance!!

is it a male betta because they shouldnt be kept in comunity tanks because they can be very agressive and it dose look like i bit because my wcmm got a desiase that made it have a hole in it and it was swollen and red al round the hole

I have had the betta in with them for 6 months now and only had a few nipped tails, I find it strange that this only happens now.

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

R.I.P.

Tank Size & Fish: (see my signature)
Tank Age: 8 months
Water Change: 10L every 7-10 days
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0.1
Nitrate: 1
pH: 7.5-8.0

Cherry barbs can be nippy kept them.
Is the nitrite reading card 0 to 03 meaning your nitrite 0.

Hi Sorry I dont quite understand the first bit you said "Cherry barbs can be nippy kept them."

My Nitrite chart reads; 0.1, 0.3, 0.8... etc

My reading was probably more like 0.

Was just looking at your stock to see if another fish has caused the wound.
How is the fish doing now.

Bless Him R.I.P.
Just do some water changes on your main tank for a few days.
