okay after 3 days (this is da third day) all my fish are healed, maybe some of u would like to know how i healed them:

easy as 1 2 3:

1. when i noticed it, teperature to 82, took carbon from power filtere then added medications (jungle)
2. 24 hr later change 25% water then add medication again.
3. also da third day, all fish are healed

dat is probably i noticed them early tho :/

i am so glad! :fun:

btw i just wanna share my experience =) because i see lots of ppl with ick in there fish tank in da emergency section

Congratulations  That's a pretty good method, much better than mine, the only reason why why tank is ICH free is because all the fish that was effected was dead :( Hopefully it won't show up again cause i just got 2 clown loach and next thing i really need is for them to get ich(if i'm not frustrated enough on losing almost all my fish from cycling). What's the brand of med did u use?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you are probably not free of ich in 3 days. Ich itself has a lifecycle of about 2 weeks. You should keep the temp there and keep treating according to directions on box.

I've used that Jungle stuff before and I hated it. I thought the ich was gone in 3 days (like it said) but it came back again, and again, and again. I ended up losing all of my fish I started out with.

Just a word to the wise...your bout with ich isn't over. Keep the temp up for at least 2 weeks, and add some salt to your tank.

Will adding salt affect some fish like loaches and catfish? I salted my tank before, that's after doing a 25% wc last week and a 10% yesterday. I heard Salt is bad for this species.

I believe it's bad if you use it in excess. I have cory's in my tank and I have never had a problem with salt.

hmm well since i have 2 tanks, my first one got ick and it worked the exact same way and ick neva came back -_-

3 days is not enough to catch all of the ich because of the life cycle of the parasite. meds only work in the free swimming stage and I think the cycle is 21 days but less with the temp raised.

I think you should still keep a very close eye on your fish.
