He/she about 8cm. He/she has been starting to grow alot recently i hope this continues because he/she has been a slow grower up till now.
 
deffinatly a female then :)

they are plumper then the males and have no (or very few) bristles.

the males have a longer snout... that is covered with bristles :)

bristle normaly start to show by 5cm so at 8 its a female.

Nice little lady bristlenose you have there....

Also, the females tend to be more nomadic than the males...once the male has his cave he will tend to stick to it as opposed to roaming the tank. The only time my male leaves the cave is when it is food time....my female doesn't even have a cave I don't think!!

our male is still imature (he laughs at the word fart and everthing!)

He only stays in a cave when looking after eggs.. hes still learning though so he'll get the hang of it sooner or later :)
 
I just love ansistrus plecs there just great!

I cant wait to know if my long finned one is male of female, then i can think about accomedating another BN :D

Especially now that i have the space to keep one :D
