My Black Ghost Knife Fish Is In Trouble!

Hi everyone, sorry i havent been on lately il make it up too you.
My Black ghost knife fish seems to have fin rot, i know TBL Furanol is banned in the UK but were picking some up from a pretty good guy tomorrow, ive researched and cant ifnd anything about it being banned or many details etc.
anyway i need to know if Melafix is safe with the fish and what medications have melafix in it.
Once again il thank you so much for replying, the first ghost i had died after a white spot break out after moving homes, and i cried my eyes out and ive just started making this one hand feed! i cant let it go.
please help me!

Yes, it's safe with all fish including knives.

and what medications have melafix in it.

I'm not totally clear what you mean there, but there are no other medications with the same ingredient as Melafix in them. Melafix itself has a type of Melaleuca oil as its active ingredient, and nothing else.

You need a med like waterlife myxazin for finrot.

yes sorry its 1 3ft tank atm (i knwo how big he gets and he will be moved soon but hes still a bubby)
errrr ... shares hes tank with 3 senegal birchirs, 1 delhizi and a orntapinis.
all water conditions are perfect!
