My Black Fin Cory

Poor little black fin cory.... This morning, he was just sitting on the gravel. A lot of my cories do this while they're sleeping, but always along the back of the tank, this guy was right up front. Now, he's hanging out about an inch from the top of the tank, along the back wall He looks like he's having trouble maintaining his position - he's definitely right sid up, but just hanging out.

I don't have a quarantine tank... Should I leave him in the tank in case he is just resting up or should I put him out of his misery? He's not showing any sign of disease like dropsy, ich or really even swim bladder. I just changed and checked the water (yes, I dechlorinated it) and everything's fine.

*sigh* Everything's been going so well, I don't want to lose one of my favorites!

sounds like a swimbladder deseise, i had a cory died this way before, i just cannot find anything to heal it and now my albino cory is sorta like that too...can swim properly

Well, I think he's ok. He's a little piggy and actually eats from the surface with the barbs, not the bottom like the other corys. So, I dropped in some food and he came to life and is now back swimming around like nothing's wrong. Thank goodness
