My biorb recently cracked and i have ot a new tank but i was wondering if the
1)The stones will be compatible with my new tank because it is a differentfiler and things
2)The heter will work in my new tank

Also please feel free to give me some ideas of fih for my new 35-40 litre tank

How did your biOrb crack? They are made from extremely strong plastic which is much stronger and safer than glass, I'm surprised you managed to break it.

What's your new tank like? I had a Bio-orb and changed to a rectangular ... I now have gravel and it's much easier to clean so I don't know why you'd want to put those stones in there!!

I have found that danios are a good species as they are very active and use all levels. On the other hand tetras are not suitable as they tend to remain static at the bottom of the Bi-orb

I've found biOrbs to be great tanks, most people who say negative things have never owned one and don't really realise how well they work. That is why I'm shocked that BornSurvivor said he cracked it, they are really strong.

i cracked by leaving it in the shed after purchase . it sound silly but i just payed 120 quid for it and put it in the shed for the night in the morning the drill had fell of the shelf and cracked right through it! :(

That is unfortunate. I have to admit that rectangle tanks are much better than biOrbs, although they look nice they are hard to clean. As long as it has a filter and heater they are fine as long as they are well maintained.

Sorry it cracked. But I do perfer traditional, long, rectangular tanks too. The more surface area equates to more swimming area and more fish room. So I think your next potential setup can be much more wonderful and enjoyable for you.

Also the bigger the surface area the more gas exchange.
