chaos. heh lol and is is a very pretty crown tail betta, ct for short. what size tank, temp, pictures? what food are you feeding him?

hes in a 1.5 gallon cube...with valls and java moss...temp is always 4 degrees above room temperature. so the extremes are probably 68-82 which is good right?? tropical tank temp?

i feed him Hikari Betta Bio-Gold and bloodworms everyonce and a while

i like that name chaos too, thanks

That is a SWEET crowntail. I love him.... Would have bought him myself in a heartbeat. Not the standard veiltail variety, but becoming more common.

Tank is OK. Might want to consider a larger, filtered tank down the line. You have to be sure to do weekly water changes in a tank that size. :good: on the live plants.

As for temp. No, that is way too much of a fluctuation. You really need a heater for these guys to thrive. Think more around 76-82.

Hikari is good. Just don't overfeed the bloodworms. Can cause constipation. I make it a once Imaybe twice) a week thing.

thanks for your concerns...

i guess i did forget to add the fact that i have a art deco nano filter on it lol.

thanks for the comments...ill be sure to get a better heater too

most small tank heaters dont have a adjustiable knob, so be sure to get a quality themomter, i prefer the glass ones and make sure it stays at a safe temp. if it gets higher then 82 u might want to unplug it, espically if the forcast for the day is very very hot. iv heard of max of 86 when spawning but 78 to 82 is the prefered norm.

as for any decorations if you drag a pair of panty hose over the ornament or plastic plant and it snags it might be too rough for a bettas fins. soft smooth cerimanic ornaments and live plants are my favs. live plants can be a pain , they need light and if they die they can cause amonia probs, but proper care wiil keep that from happening. :good:
